We can't replicate this problem, however, the people-tab can be a bit slow before it show people, so please wait for 5-10 seconds to see if that is the problem you experienced?

Another possible explanation is if you've uploaded to few photos so the system has to little data to cluster people from. I recommend you try with more than 1000 photos to evaluate the face recognition properly.
